The company has the
capacity to provide training in a wide range of aspects
in agriculture ranging from extensive rain-fed cropping
to intensive vegetable production under various systems
of irrigation. Training is geared to ensure that the
most critical and commonly limiting factors in
production are identified and addressed with the
farmers.

Training and mentoring is
needs driven and provided based on the farm systems
research and extension approach which requires the
involvement of a multidisciplinary team so as to
take into consideration the socio-economic factors
as well. |
Development and the
implementation of mentorship programme is been
identified as one of the key factors that can positively
influence the land reform therefore a formal well
structured mentoring programme with clear rationale,
measurable goals or objectives and mechanisms of
assessments will be drawn. Training will be unit
standard based.
The company has a farm
where most of the practical training will take place. It
is endowed with up-to-date farm implements, irrigation
system, good soils and the ability to accommodate about
ten trainees. The company is developing the farm into a
training centre.

AgriSETA,
as the main focus of training, involved in skills and
learnership programmes in plant, fruit, poultry and pig
production. |
